Shattered

We arrived at the large Victorian house we had rented for the weekend and then my husband went to pick up our youngest son, his wife and their two sons who had flown into Gatwick airport this morning. They were all tired after the flight and chose to have an afternoon nap. Meanwhile, we went into Dorking to buy some food and then not long after we arrived home, our eldest son, his wife and two sons arrived, having driven over from Switzerland early this morning. So we were 10 weary travellers and this was the enormous dining table which seated 14 people where we sat down for a pleasant evening meal. There was much laughter as the owner of the house had two cats and our eldest son had brought over their Golden retriever who decided that cats were not allowed in the house while he was in residence. Every time the cats tried to enter via the cat flaps, he chased them away.
