Go, Dog. Go!

One of my favorite books as a kid was P.D. Eastman's "Go, Dog. Go!". I loved the drawings of green dogs, blue dogs, red dogs, dogs in all shapes and sizes, dogs dressed in scarves and goggles, and silly descriptions of these busy hounds driving cars, roller skating, or pedaling about on unicycles.

Well, I spotted one of those dogs today, right here in downtown Bellingham.

"Big dogs going out in cars. Black and white dogs with red and black vests going fast." - could've been this dog's page in Eastman's book.

There's little in this world that's as charming as the joy and excitement exhibited by most dogs as they travel about with their humans - ears flying backward in the wind, noses twitching full speed, processing all the smells as they race by, not a care in the world except to be in the company of the ones they love. Go, dogs! Go!
