The Black Cullins

We feared that  this morning there would be a repetition of yesterday's long delayed departure of the ferry to  Mallaig  from Lohcboisdale because of fog and last night , as we drove back from seeing a film at the "Screen Machine" in Daliburgh, followed by a good meal at Pollachar, the mist was rolling down the hills again.

But this morning it had risen a bit and the ferry left on time at 7.00 am.

It kept clearing and by the time we reached our destination there was bright sunshine, though we had to hang about a bit outside the harbour  as the small isles ferry was late in departing . But even that delay gave a good photographic opportunity as my extra picture shows.

None the less the moment I saw this sight I knew it would have to be my blip for the day - the Black Cullins divided by cloud with Sgurr Alasdair prominent.
