Winter Returns

It was a proper winter’s day after last night’s storm. Fifty-five millimetres of rain fell, but thankfully no snow down here. There is snow well down on the mountains, but they were veiled in wispy clouds. The cold has been a shock after the long period of relatively mild weather.

The snow revealed the dramatic changes in this hill I can see from my back step. I have noticed predawn lights up there and thought something was happening. Compare with a similar shot I took last year.
