The final chapter

You'll be pleased to hear that this will be the last blip of the field whose story I've been recording since last autumn, the penultimate of which was here. During this month of good weather the field has finally been harvested.

Despite dire warnings of thunderstorms, today has once again been very warm, close and dry. There is, however, still plenty time this evening for some thunder and lightning...
