TMB Day 11

We had a very steep ascent this morning up to the Col de Tricot, centre of main photo.... that I didn't like very much, my calves were beginning to scream by the time I reached the top and lunch!

The rest of the day was fine - and FUN - as we descended into Les Houches for the night. I can't believe that we've only got one more day of walking left!

1st extra: While we waited for the bus this morning the lorry arrived to empty one of the communal rubbish bins. We should have such a system in the UK, but can you imagine the uproar if we had to actually take all our rubbish down the road and post it in the correct bin..........?!?

2nd extra: a Parnassius Apollo butterfly - beautiful!
