Weather Report

I turned the page on my work calendar this morning. August was clearly full of sunshine and warmth in 2018. The pic I took near here then (extra) had bright colours, dappled sunshine, bright blue sky.

Not so this August.

We have friends travelling up today, staying in New Mills. I texted to suggest they check their accommodation. As it turns out it’s OK, but nearby Whaley Bridge is evacuated because of a potential Dam failure. And Lyme Park, where we had arranged to meet on Sunday, has been evacuated, with much of the lovely gardens washed away.
