Office View

The rhythms of my office life mean that there are no real opportunities to grab a picture unless it is out the window.

I was alone in my team again which I was a bit worried about because today was the first day back at work for a lot of people. And sure enough, there were people who rang up with problems.

I did not panic.

I knew where to start looking. And so that's what I did. I emailed the people back with what I found out and I hope I did OK. Very stressed though - there's always that feeling that maybe I've misunderstood something. I don't enjoy that at all.

However, it passed without outraged phone calls back. So that's OK.

So when I left, I was looking forward to nipping in to Burgerbüro to pick up a new travel card and getting home sharpish.

I hadn't thought of the queue. A queue filled with people who needed to tell extraordinarily long and seemingly pointless stories to bored looking people behind the counters. I swear one story involved monkeys and spinach but I forced myself to stop listening.

And then, as ever with these people, when it came to paying, it was all a bit of a surprise. And they have to start hunting for their wallet/purse which lasts for nearly as long as it takes a monkey to eat a plate of spinach. I think you could hear my eyes rolling.

Home now. Not going out unttil tomorrow morning.
