Ding dong merrily on high

My favourite Christmas present: a traditional solid brass bicycle bell, made by Lion, in England.
Despite its simple appearance, this is apparently a very technical piece of kit:
"The striker mechanism is positioned outboard of the dome. This means that the bell is struck on the "live" part of the dome to ensure a loud and musical sound with a long sustain."
Visually and audibly very pleasing. Perfect!
