IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT

The painters have been doing much-needed renovation and repainting of all the outside window frames at Mum's house, but when we got there most of them had been painted shut and we couldn't shift them. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night as the rooms heat up a lot during the day and the only fans we could find were ancient and very noisy.

Fortunately the chaps fixed it when they arrived this morning, but now I can't close some of the windows! Maybe when I've caught up on the sleep I missed last night I'll have a bit more strength to move them. They're all very ancient Victorian and Edwardian sash windows.

Extra is a Brimstone in Mum's garden. I had to look it up because it was very white when flying about.
