Acorns

A day late I know. When we were at Hampton Court Palace I saw these acorns. Now I dont know if the outer shell is a type of flower or not so I will offer them up as a flower for Flower Friday. I am sure there must be a botanist on here who could tell me.

on a different note my son has been offered a permanent position with Alberta Health Care and he hasn't started his temper position yet!
