The open road

So this morning we (two old friends from my days in Russia, and two more recent additions to that number, and me) were all up very early to get a shuttle into Pretoria to pick up our hire car and head for eSwatini (Swaziland). Incredible landscapes, a service station with its own zoo (and a random meeting with three Brits who were also at the conference), and an adventure. Adventure? Turning up at the border 1.5 hours after it closed! Thankfully there was a guest house just near the border, which was a little smaller than our party would have chosen, but workable with a lot of laughter!
