Rain Lilies

Habranthus robustus (aka Zephyranthes robusta) are not true lilies at all but are related to Amaryllis.  Barely hardy in the UK - although with climate change this is less true than twenty years ago - these are planted out in a sunny bed and seem happy enough.  They flower when rain comes after the summer heat hence the common name.

Another quiet day at home.   Nose more sore if anything but as far as I can tell it's just part of the healing process. I spent the afternoon making up a batch of cards using my photos taken on and around the Talyllyn Railway.   They have been selling well in the railway shop and stocks were low when I was there recently.
