Wherever I lay my hat

Conor has his bed in our ski chalet set up just right; with his new (to him) flat cap and Doggy, who is still his constant companion in life (outside school hours).

Long long day today. Early start from London while our hosts were still slumbering (or lying there wondering how we could possibly be making so much noise leaving the house...) The start time was my choice, meaning that we were at the airport way too early, with most of our bags safely stowed in the hold (that's a first for us in recent times as Mr B is an affirmed hand-luggage-only-aphile. Happily (for me) all the bags showed up at the other end and, after some tricky rejuggling of baggage in the car (which was of course already full of ski gear before we arrived with Christmas goodies) we were off.

The resort we're in, Luz St Sauveur, is a proper village rather than a purpose built resort and as such has all the lovely shops and traffic/parking chaos you would expect. Our apartment is spacious, has a tv (handy for the kids' Wii Christmas present which they are delighted about) but no oven so it'll be fried food all the way....

Lessons for the kids have been booked, ski passes purchased and ski equipment rented from a very friendly shop (after the big Intersport ignored us). We're all set....
