I don't exactly share the sentiments of the quote! Thankfully new year's day was a lovely relaxed affair. I hit the shops, which were totally empty (hooray!) and got lots of boring essential shopping done. Then the evening was spent getting lost (oops) followed by natter, nibbles and the entire 1980s BBC adaptation of the Box of Delights with friends. It brought back so many memories! Thanks so much to Sue for hosting the evening - she probably won't thank me for blipping her slippers, though! ;-)
