Many thanks for the scattering of favourites for yesterday’s butterfly. :-))
I’ve always loved maps and pride myself on being able to plot out walks via my online OS subscription and enjoy a few miles wandering the great outdoors.
Rambling would be more appropriate these days it would seem. In a few weeks time four of us are finishing off the north coast of Cornwall and today was a walk to build up our stamina, albeit without the ups and downs of the coast.
Five miles was all I’d plotted but managed to walk us off track, not once but three times, the last of which was seriously wrong. After the second mishap, which incurred having to walk all the way round a big field, adding about a mile, I said to Len that we should make sure we stopped at turnings and check we were going the right way.
Just after I took this picture we turned right and walked approximately a mile before I stopped and said it didn’t look right. Correct, we should have turned left and then right.
I think this qualifies as more than the maximum walked today.
The fish and chips were good in Woburn though.
