Visit from a kereru

I took my sandwiches, and the Lumix and walked into the Auckland Domain for lunch. I had seen, again, a sculpture when passing through the Domain yesterday on my way across to North Shore Hospital. My intention was to photograph that as my blip for today.

First part was successful, and I got a couple of good shots. Sat on a nearby park bench (one labelled as "In loving memory of") to eat my sandwiches. Half way through the first one I heard the distinctive sound of a kereru (native wood pigeon) flying past and saw it land in a nearby tree.

Despite it remaining almost constantly behind branches and/or leaves (or with its back turned), I was able to get one good photo, and changed my choice of blip.
