Chilled Out Christmas Eve

Backblip...

Christmas Eve is normally pretty frantic, wrapping and dropping off presents, getting everything ready for Christmas Day. But this year it was a bit more relaxed...even if we did spend the day in a maternity room after my wife's waters broke earlier that morning. We sat in the room for the entire afternoon, ate snacks and listened to the radio. For the first time in ages, had really long chats about anything and everything. About 5pm we were told there was no significant developments and that we would be better off heading home.

I probably shot the room from the wrong view, it was really comfortable and pleasant - the hospital is less than a year old and the staff were fantastic...

....and we would be seeing them again quicker than we or they had anticipated..... :-)
