Messerschmitt For Sale?

We popped down to Rye today, and stopped in the Heritage Centre by the harbour for a change.  I left Mum sitting by the harbour-side, not the most attractive or peaceful places I must admit, but she was happy enough with her radio for the cricket!

Meanwhile, I had a quick walk around the shops, mostly selling Bric-à-brac.  One shop was a little more up market, and pride of place in its window was this most unexpected offering, a three-wheeled bubble car produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt between1955 to 1964.  Given the size of the shop and its ancient doorways, one wonders how it even got in there!
