It's all in the bun

One of the proudest moments as a Dad has been to have taken my 2 sons to their respective first football matches.

On both occasions I asked each what their favourite part of the day was. Was it the roar of the crowd? The size of the stadium? The dramatic goals? The swearing? Sadly, no. Both raved about... the hot dogs.

Which just served to remind me that more often than not its not the main events that make our memories. Its more likely the smaller things we get pleasure from. And if life itself were a hotdog, then its the unexpected bun thats the best bit, not the dog itself.

Footnote: tonight's dog was snapped at Chelsea v QPR, and indeed the food was the highlight. Dreadful game.
