Rustling Cottonwood

Not often, perhaps not often enough, am I tempted to just sit and look about when I'm photographing, but today was an exception. For quite a while I sat on the bench I built only a few weeks ago, the warmth of the evening enveloping me.

I had taken a few photos of the usual suspects already and was looking for something different today. High above me in the cottonwood tree the wind rustled through the leaves causing them to shimmer in the sunlight.

I wondered what would be special enough to photograph about tree branches and leaves. I suppose it's about pattern, but more emotionally the image reminds me of a quiet time.
