Mini Meadow Update

I mentioned yesterday that the mini meadow has changed again whilst we were away.  I've blipped a section of it today and can spot:  chicory; birds foot trefoil; red clover; yarrow; wild carrot and loosestrife.  There are also several flowers we can't yet identify so the enjoyment continues.  The one thing I didn't factor in when I planned it, was the need to cut the privet hedge which runs along one side.  That took some doing today and we did have to stand on the meadow to collect the clippings but hopefully the plants will recover.  As for the meadow, the seedheads will be cut back in late winter to 10cm and all the seedheads removed.

As well as cutting the hedge, we have been exploring the possibility of having a wooden floor to replace the carpet in the living room.
