Squabmoor Reservoir

I was out with the local walking group on a walk around the local commons.  An interesting walk as there are so many different paths across the commons and we found a few new ones for me today.  The weather started well and we had a short rain spell midway through the walk but nothing to worry about especially since I hadn't packed a waterproof.  We had a short stop at Squabmoor Reservoir which is usually frequented by fishermen but a notice informed us that there is no fishing at the moment due to an illness of the fish.  Both yellow and white water lilies were flowering at one end of the water.  We then headed to Bystock Ponds en route back to our starting point and managed to get a glimpse of a deer watching us from nearby woods.  An interesting walk with a good turnout of people.

I then headed into Exeter for some shopping as we have friends visiting and their daughters birthday takes place during this time.
