Curious

Its been a very hot and humid day that started pretty sunny.  My husband had gone off on a cycle ride around the Somerset Levels and I decided to go for a swim with a friend.  We walked to the beach in the sun, the car park was fairly full but it was easy enough finding a spot on the beach.  The water was very calm, a few paddle boards were out and the sea looked very inviting.  We had a lovely swim and as we came out of the water we noticed the dark clouds heading our way.  The sky was rather unusual with the horizon appearing a sandy colour and darker clouds behind it.  We managed a wander along the beach before heading back to our homes for lunch.  We had a few short bursts of rain during the afternoon.  Its surprising how much a short swim can both energise and then tire you.  I managed a few home tasks later in the afternoon and gave both the garden and allotment a water.  I spotted two Red legged Partridges slowly wandering in the field opposite one of which was certainly curious as to the noise coming from my camera.

Its forecast as being an extremely hot weekend so maybe another swim will be on the cards for tomorrow.
