Gertrude Jekyll, the climber

Our new climber rose is doing well and beginning its journey up the wall. The scent is amazing. Long may it continue to climb!

A lovely but rather sad afternoon spent with our good neighbour who moves house tomorrow. We will miss her and two lovely teenage children. Her house contents are all packed up so we sat in our garden and drank many toasts to her move. Fortunately she is only moving to the other side of the village but we will miss her being next door. New neighbours move in at the end of the month!
