Refreshed...A Little

Dear Diary,

Finally, we got a bit of rain with downpours on Wednesday night and a shower yesterday but it is hardly enough.  At least the rain brought cooler temperatures and less humidity.  The next few days look good.  The flowers have been revived a bit but everything is still tinder dry.  Oh well, August can be a dry time here in northern New England.  This little bed of hosta and phlox don't look too bad.  At this time of year, in a drought, close-ups work best in the garden.
