Staycation Day 1

Me and mum don’t really go away on vacation, except for to the summer house. So today we decided to go on Staycation - or “Hemester” in Swedish.

It was a beautiful day. We started by having burgers for lunch, and frankly, not many things beat burgers for lunch. Then we went to the outdoor museum Gamla Linköping, which was absolute packed with people. And dogs. And horses. We started over at the old farm and then walked through the woods to the town part.

There were lots of actors dressed in old time clothes, working or doing improvisation theatre. There was the little train, and also a horse pulling a carriage with her foal walking alongside. There were small ponies for the kids. All the little shops and museum buildings were open. Including - tadaa! - the ice cream parlour!

We’ve been here twice with my best friend forever Dolly so we have very special memories. We sat on the bench outside and happily shared our ice cream - carrot cake flavour. Then we strolled back through the woods. Great day!
