A Painted Lady

I was moving so very slowly that this little lady thought I must be a tree. 

Extraordinary to think how far these beautiful creatures come to reach our shores. I wonder how many generations it's taken to reach here from Africa?

Treatment so far only seems to be making the back worse. I guess I should count myself lucky to have survived so long without suffering this way. I know a lot of people do. I had no idea how incapacitating it can be.
