After overhaul the generator of unit 6 has to be filled with hydrogen again
We use hydrogen as coolant in these kind of generators (about 365 Megawatts) because it cools better than air, so the generator can be build smaller.
Small disadvantage of hydrogen: in combination with air it is highly explosive....
So: we first have to push out the air (we call it "purge") with CO2 and replace this with hydrogen.
On the "switchboard" with valves in the back you can see different colors for each stadium.
The valves have to be put in the right position every time a stage is finished.
