Silver Y moth

I have always been interested in butterflies, but recently have become more aware of moths as well. I thought this one was a butterfly actually until it landed and I realised it was a moth. I've googled it and found that it is a silver Y moth which are supposed to be quite common. Weird that I have never seen one before, but then blip does seem to make one more observant.
