First to open.

Earlier in the year this Clematis flowered as usual, but didn't look too healthy. I decided to get rid of it and cut it right down to the base, then added some new compost as the level in the pot had gone down a lot. Forgot to pull the plant remains up which is just as well as now it is about 5 ft tall with several buds waiting to open. This one is the first on the very top - like a Christmas tree star! It's confusing how some Clematis need cutting right back, some not at all, and others only part way down. Should make notes really.

Was on early Granny childcare this morning, I think we are all still tired from our day in the woods yesterday. Came home, walked and groomed the dogs. Cleaned the oven and that's about it for today.
