Dragon

Seeing this land and perch whilst on a dog walk meant a scramble into the nettles and a big lean over a barbed wire fence to take the shot. 

I wasn't sure at the time what it was and am going with female Common Hawker but it just as easily be a female Migrant looking at some of the diagrams for identification. The stream was positively swarming with Common Darters but I decided to blip this as I hadn't seen one like it this year.
