Wanderings & Witterings

Darnley

Had to take a trip into Glasgow this morning, but found myself having done all I needed to do before noon. So, on impulse, I took a train down to Priesthill and Darnley Station and had a walk in Dams to Darnley Country Park.

This country park is jointly managed by Glasgow and East Renfrewshire Councils as it straddles the council boundaries. A series of paths leads alongside the Aurs Burn, through Waulkmill Glen and emerging at Waulkmill Glen Reservoir, Littleton Reservoir and Ryat Linn Reservoir (where my 'extra' photo was taken).

Not many butterflies around today, but a few bees were enjoying the feast provided by the plentiful thistles (main photo).
