Tufty

I barely had time to draw breath today. After dropping my daughter at hockey training, I changed into my walking boots and grabbed my camera to walk until pick-up.
I planned to walk to the bird hide, spend 15 or 20 minutes enjoying the peace and solitude, then back for hockey pick up.
I met a lady on the path who asked for directions.
She seemed lonely.
I decided to engage her in conversation as she was obviously a visitor to the area.
20 minutes later, I knew quite a bit of her life history.
I only had 5 minutes at the hide in the end but I did feel better for having passed the time of day with a stranger.
