Tiny Tuesday: Reconnecting!

Today I reckoned that the wet light fitting (see Friday's blip) had dried out enough to be reconnected, so it seemed a good subject for today's Tiny Tuesday blip. The piece of copper wire you can see is only 1mm in diameter so it's pretty tiny*. Happily the RCD circuit breaker decided not to trip when I turned the power back on, so I assume that it has indeed dried out now. Hopefully we won't have any more monsoons until the lads have finished re-slating the roof: the weather forecast here for the next few days doesn't look too bad. However as the lads haven't appeared this morning no more work has yet happened today - maybe they're attending to a leaking roof emergency somewhere else!

Thanks to Nickimags888 for hosting TT this month.

(*For any purists: Most of our mains wiring is about 30 years old so it still has the old colour code.  And yes - I was connecting red to black, the black being the return from the light switch: the live feed goes from the junction box to the switch and the switched feed comes back to the junction box via a length of twin-and-earth cable. See LooseCanon's comment below and my reply for further info!)
