The more the Merrier, or more Merry

Raspberry and Merry, as true food obsessed Abyssinians, needed and need to be locked up while human food is available. Raspberry learned the meaning of a firm "no" from her breeder which allowed her be free during some meals. Merry, on the other hand grew up in a multi cat and dog family and is overly exuberant when presented with an opportunity to sample, steal human food. So, both cats had cozy beds in this cat carrier, sleeping at will when the door is open and contained, quietly when they have crossed into criminality at meal time.

I was worried that Merry would resist, but she hops in herself when I carry her over to the carrier or as we call it, the case. Show cat manners, no fussing, door rattling or crying. She settles in and snoozes, getting a treat when she comes out and maybe a taste of something we're having, like the salmon we had tonight. It's a huge relief that she is comfortable in it as well. It's important when repair people are here or if we have to know where she is.  

This photo was taken when she had been sleeping in the case on her own. Something she has started doing each day. She came home from Connecticut in the same carrier, and she has made it her own. Raspberry loved cuddling up it too. 

For the Record, 
This day came in cloudy and humid. It's rained on and off since afternoon and is supposed to get heavy. We need rain so i hope that is true.

All hands loving watching Merry adjust to her new home, she's a character.
