Watch out, Michelin!

With a storm trooper behind you, life could be risky. The Fuji 16mm lens has done a good job here: pretty close focus, and through glass at that.

The shops in Barnard Castle are varied and interesting; it's a proper town, with variety and quality.  This was a curio/antique/retro toy shop and it was a joy to browse the contents.

The extra is High Force, a pretty powerful waterfall up a 1.5 mile walk beside the Tees from Bowlees Visitor Centre (where we had a rewarding bacon roll – cooked crispy and with three rashers to the bun :-)). 

It was a lovely day, windy but bright, with many rewarding sights in this beautiful countryside.  We might come and live in this part of Durham . . .
