Downpour

Today was rest day in the orienteering, so we went east of Perth in the morning to go up the Marilyn of King’s Seat before the promised thunderstorms arrived. We then went to Stanley Mills just north of Perth by the Tay. These were textile mills that used hydropower from the river as a cheap source of electricity and only finally closed in the late 1980s. Luckily for us the showers arrived as we were inside and the blip shows the downpour at its height.

Yesterday’s blip.
