True Grit

Today, our younger son led the U18s out as Captain for the first time.
He has had his struggles in recent times, but rugby has kept him going.
I admit to feeling nervous about the pressure on his shoulders, and as we drove East from a few days away, I felt quite anxious.
He led his team with passion, played a great match, led by example, and scored a great try.
And they won!
A lesson in grit and determination.
