Adventures with Mike

What a delightful day I've had today! Mike and I met up this morning for a spot of McDonalds breakfast (thanks to Pokémon Go, our meeting spots are now almost entirely just Pokéstops; today's was "Nathan's clock and balls"!) before heading over to the Hilton at the airport to spend a couple of hours with Peter Spellos. We managed to get slightly lost in the woods just outside the hotel because there are an unnecessary amount of paths that either become dead ends or go directly into the lake... At least it wasn't raining at that point! Twas lovely to see Peter again but we eventually had to scarper so we could grab a late lunch/early dinner. As it turns out, Pizza Hut was a fantastic choice as a) man, I love pizza and b) once we'd eaten, the whole place basically cleared out so we were able to stay hidden in our corner playing Super Mario Maker 2 for like an hour! Oh, brother...! After a quick Pokémon raid we met up with Phil, Kie and Rich for a couple of drinks. We had intended to go to the cinema but none of us could be bothered to traipse up to Cineworld in the rain, so we just sat about and chatted for a while. Lovely!
