My Life Is Not Average

Wray Castle

On our way home from a lovely B&B near Hawkshead in the Lake District, we stopped off at Wray Castle. It's relatively new - built in the 1800s by a retired couple as their own home - and has been used as a lab and as a college since then. Baby was a bit young for the children's activities, but they have a whole series of rooms for kids to explore and play in, many of which are Peter Rabbit themed! There really weren't many photo opportunities inside, sadly, but it does look impressive from the outside.

After we had looked around, we bumped into the actor Sanjeev Bhaskar in the cafe. My husband was very excited and said hello; I think that was his favourite part of the day!
