Stenton Well

It has been constantly windy. When I drove up I had to peel my hands off the steering wheel. I didn’t relish the prospect of wrestling my way home again so I decided to go by little roads where I could. After a breezy walk checking out the wonderful geology on the nearby beach again https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2492072218524123833 I headed off in search of the Holy Rood Well in the very lovely village of Stenton https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3372327. The planting has grown up around it making it hard to photograph but it was full of water and built in the shape of a cardinal’s hat.
I had a feeling someone had already blipped it so I’m off to check now.
...nope, can’t find it so I’ll add it to the canon!

...ah! Found it ... I was sure I’d seen it before... https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2152524637295086199
