The Fallen

Dear Diary,

Thankfully, we have been having a bit of rain, off and on, the last few days.  It was refreshed the garden but some plants are beyond saving I'm afraid.  Fortunately, the Trumpet Vine is in its glory and the Humming Birds are very happy.  I even saw one visiting one of the fallen trumpets yesterday.  You never know, there might be a wee bit of nectar left so she wasn't taking any chances.  Very enterprising I thought.
