Dear Diary,

Early morning light and shadows, always lovely.  Our recent rains have perked things up a bit.  Even though I only plant drought tolerant plants, this last stretch of no rain did many things in.  Still, they are a hearty bunch and will come back next year, hopefully.  I saw the first red leaves yesterday so fall is on the way.  No stopping the turning of the wheel!
