WHAT A SUPERB DAY....

... well we arrived to our accomodation just out of York last night and after a good sleep as arranged an absolutely super guy and Blipper Riversider picked us up for a "tour" of York. 

What an interesting city and again loads of history dating 'Waaaay back" - we saw everything from the City Wall and its background, to cats running up a wall, and where Guy Fawkes was born, plus plus plus.... even the shortest street a mere few metres in length.

Of course a coffee break as seen in the main pic was in oder and where else than along the River Ouse, which has flooded many times and where we are here the water has risen to well above our heads. It looks nice now though!

There was so much to take in from this superb city I took many pics to make sure we could reflect on the visit - check out on FLICKR here but there are a lot of pics!

Enjoy and have a look in LARGE and tomorrow morning fly out of Manchester back to Dusseldorf for a school activity which Alice is involved.

... again a much delayed Back Blip and thanks for looking back - have also caught up the last two days if you wish... here in Waddesdon Manor and here in Oxford. Nearly caught up all of out holiday "finally'
