More shops

Just so that you can see that all the shops in Sydney are not ultra-modern, this is a blip of the Strand Arcade, which is quite old (as you can see), but well maintained. It was originally built in 1891 and partly damaged by fire in 1976 but subsequently restored.

There are lots of "old fashioned" shops, such as a tea rooms and bootmakers, etc. as well as fashion designers, milliners, tailors and such. There's also an old lift (elevator) which is part wire cage. And of course, at the moment there's the Christmas tree, which isn't very old fashioned-looking I guess!

It's a lovely reminder of days gone by.
