Wound up in Wexford

Unexpected profit

We spent the day sorting things in the room which was "The Warehouse", and is now a combination of office/laundry room/gym/sewing room.  I note that on a previous occasion, when sorting stuff in there, I found Euros.

Today, W dug out an old laptop bag to give to a charity shop, and when checking it, found this selection of contents - including 80 Swiss Francs.  I spent some time shredding printed sheets of paper to go on the compost heap - a slow job, as the shredder will only take 2 or 3 sheets at a time, and after a few minutes work, it overheats and packs up for a while to cool off.

We have filled the recycling bin with paper and plastic of various sorts - it will be emptied tomorrow.  We've emptied a cupboard, and partially refilled it with stuff that is awaiting a final home.

We've got several boxes now for the charity shop, and a collection of cables and small electrical stuff for the tip.

The next job, and I suspect much more onerous, will be for W to sort out his filing cabinets, going through the many papers and disposing where possible.  Probably little I'll be able to do to help there - except perhaps operate the shredder again!  The office is still more cluttered than it was in this photo, but it is definitely looking better than a few months ago.
