Otter Valley View

It was a beautiful day for a walk today and I was out with a fair number of our local walking group.  We were on a walk starting from Colaton Raleigh and walking up to Kebles Seat which is situated at the very top of Bulverton Hill.  We walked along footpaths and old roads with various historic facts being related on the way.  This view is one we don't often see of the Otter Valley looking towards Woodbury Common in the far distance and we stopped to take in this view.  But our coffee break wasn't until we reached the very top of the hill where Kebles Seat is located.  There are more panoramic views from here and the seat was named after John Keble a 19th Century poet, the view which was said to have inspired his poetry and hymns.

It was a lovely walk with a good variety of scenery and interest.
