Quod oculus meus videt

Wedding Week - The Day After

I had written such a lot on yesterday’s blip, only for it to be lost, probably because of the vagaries of using a weak internet connection. On reflection that was probably a good thing. The memories were too new, still swirling around in my brain and trying to distil the essence of that amazing day into words was too much for my limited writing skills. I shall look to add an addendum to that post in a few days.

Today was the first full day of life together for the new Mr and Mrs T. While we left the newly weds (and younger members of the family who had partied hard into the night) to rest, we popped back up to the venue to collect presents, cards, flowers and all of the sundries that made up an amazing day. It took 4 cars to collect everything, which was testament to the amount of preparation and effort that went into the day.

The rest of the day was fairly relaxed. Many of the guests were departing, heading back to normality after the wedding. For some, they could relax, but by the end of the day the mill was much quieter. A short walk and then a meal out at a carvery so no need to prepare, cook and clean up after ourselves.

We’ve seen the first few images from the photographer and they are fabulous! The area lends itself to dramatic landscapes and the modern ability to use portable flash allowed the photographer to place the happy couple into the environment they love so much.
