A Fond Farewell

Just over 7 years ago, hubby and I took the plunge and opened our own veterinary practice.
It came after months of negotiations and planning, and a significant bank loan.
We worked from dawn to dusk, and beyond, to achieve our dream.
We started out with hubby, myself, and a Veterinary Nurse. We didn't know if anyone would come.
They did.

7 years ago this week, we took on a receptionist. She was a quiet, gentle soul, with no veterinary experience at all.
She proved to be smart, and hard-working. She had a lovely way with clients, and adapted quickly to practice life.
With time, she was promoted to Practice Administrator and became an integral part of the team we have today.

So, we found ourselves 7 years down the line, saying a very sad and fond farewell to her today.
She is off to follow her own dream of teaching pilates.
We will miss her so much.

We still have a team trip to Escape Rooms, and what will likely prove a very lively meal out, on Saturday to enjoy though.
